There are many benefits to having a spiritual approach to life. If you really understand that (a) there IS a plan, and (b) that YOU are part of it, then it allows you to let go of all the frenzy and worry, and live in a state of peace and relaxation, in the confidence that your best interests are already planned for.

Non-spiritual people will be quick to label this attitude a “cop-out.” But the truth is that this is actually a much more empowered and resourceful way to live.

  1. It relaxes you, which increases your enjoyment of this moment.
  1. Being relaxed also enhances the likelihood that you’ll enjoy whatever happens in the next moment.
  1. You make better plans when you’re not stressed or frenzied.
  1. You are operating in a more balanced way than if you ignored your spiritual self and focused only on physical things.
  1. You will see and hear things you wouldn’t otherwise see, and open yourself up to receive wisdom that would not otherwise be available to you.
  1. Your health is better when you are confident about the future instead of being worried about it.
  1. The weight of the world is lifted from your shoulders, lowering your stress.
  1. Instead of having to “make it happen,” you are now able to “let it happen.”
  1. Your life becomes much more “in the present” and much less “in the future.”
  1. The best company and counsel in the universe is available to you 24 / 7 / 365!

There are LOTS of other excellent reasons to live in take a spiritual approach to life and to life in faith. If you’ve read many of my articles, you’ll see that I an a BIG proponent of living in faith and making your connection to GOD the centerpiece of you life.

Why am I so “gung-ho” about this? Because I spent 55 years doing things the “other” way, having worldly priorities. And you know what? It doesn’t work!
